My son, my friend, and I were in France on a fi... read more If you’re anywhere near Rancon in the Limousin countryside, make the trip to The Mill—you won’t be disappointed. My son, my friend, and I were in France on a fishing trip and had heard about this recently opened, English-run family pub. We decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did. Sam and Judi have painstakingly renovated an old farmhouse and mill into a beautiful, welcoming pub full of character. You can see the love, time, and effort they’ve put into creating such a special place. The food was absolutely fantastic, with everything freshly prepared to a very high standard. The service from Sam, Judi, and all of the staff was warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was cooling off with a swim in the stunning lake behind the pub, which is fed by the natural spring that powers the old mill—a truly unique setting that adds to the whole experience. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to eat, drink, and relax in the heart of the Limousin countryside. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Sunday lunches are up there too. Great place. Great Value and the food is fantastic. A must place to visit if your a local or on your holidays. Make sure you book a table. Enjoy
