Java Bistro - Rancho Cucamonga
Java Bistro
Description
Tucked off Miliken Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga, this small bistro is a beloved spot for authentic Indonesian flavors—spicy nasi padang, nasi goreng kambing, satay and tasty snacks—backed by an attached Indonesian grocery. The food is flavorful, varied and reasonably priced, with a cozy, bustling atmosphere filled with kitchen sounds and Indonesian music. Service can be inconsistent and slow at times, with occasional order or billing issues, so it’s ideal for adventurous diners who prioritize authentic taste over fast, polished service.

Good food very delicious but the lady unfriendly service. Only boss nicely. Sometime you wait to long. You have to friendly and nicely to get costumer back again.??.
Tastes just like my Oma's cooking. This is the most authentic Indonesian food I've had at a restaurant. Everything was great. It's very busy for a small restaurant and they're a small business so don't go if you're in a hurry. Everything is freshly made and delicious. The store right next door is a bonus. They had everything from sambal to shrimp chips. Wasn't too loud either. Just a nice family dinner! We can't wait to return.I forgot to add that I usually have to bring my own peanut sauce to Indo places since a lot of people put curry in theirs. I didn't have time to make any before I left but it was delicious! No curry flavor, no coconut... just PB. Added a bit of sambal and it was close to my recipe!
Really good gado-gado (Indonesian salad) with lontong here. Their peanut sauce is the best!
