It was our first Korean barbecue experience and we liked it. Our waitress was good and informative. Basically, here is an open buffet with meat and vegetables that you can grill on your table. They serve you every time 4 meats. She proposed 4 tupe beef. A Hawaiian, a steak two really thin slice of beef. You can order sauce and salt for your meat. It also serves the white rice salad salad. Service was poor. Once sitting came the first portion. After that, the refills were extremely slow. Needed to ask for meat and drink supplements 4 times. They must have literally forgotten us, even after they told us they were taking care of us. Food itself was good, but the Calamari was over cooked. Service was simply poor and receives ZERO stars. Great Korean BBQ! It took a bit long to get us seated. We noticed the waiters were already bringing in the food to other people who came after us while we came before and were still waiting. That was like 6 months ago, we felt they were a little understaffed. The flavor is good, the portions are good. Best if you come with family and friends to share.
The service was really amazing. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. They were so quick to bring out the meat and they made sure we got everything we asked for. Our server, Jesus made us feel welcomed and he really took care of us. I forgot the name of the manager tonight but she managed the flow so well. We are definitely coming back to this location!

Gen Korean BBQ is one of the best “Cook Yourself” Sit down restaurants ever!! I eat at Gen, for sure at least once every two weeks!! I recommend everybody to try it at least once! It has a great atmosphere and friendly party vibes, I just wish that all locations had the “Volcano Chicken” like the West Covina location! I recommend everyone to also take their dates to any Gen Locations! Best food!
One of my favorite places to get Korean bbq. They have a great atmosphere,food and people. It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday!!!!
