Great ambiance. Our server was fantastic and even gave us a free appetizer due to the wait for our meal. It was Valentines Day, but our reservation was honored and we were seated immediately. The only problem was that our table was right outside of a larger party room and they were pretty boisterous View all feedback.
What Emmy Funk doesn't like about China Republic:
I wish I could honestly give them negative stars. Your website is not up to date, so when I called to place an order, half of the items were not available, then slightly sold out while I was on the phone. Then they did not give the chow mine, as I asked to be prepared (see photos). When I called, the manager refused to correct the order. Bad customer service and SEVERELY in the price. The place is beautiful, decoration and atmosphere is great. Just a little Pricy.
Food quality and customer service were amazing here. Very traditional Chinese cuisine with good taste. I ordered shrimp dumplings, the house Chow my (the pan roasted noodles, a mixture of proteins, with engraving a really rare find), and finally Beijing Duck with steamed rolls. I'd go back here, hands down. Heads up: Mobile phone service within the restaurant can be a hit or miss, so note it when you meet with a large group or on a date.

Very good restaurant, very good dishes, special dishes! Friendly staff and the prices are well served for the amount of food. Hands down one of the favorite restaurants nowadays. The food is excellent. So many great things to choose. Beijing duck with rolls and lobsters are always a must.
Craving good Chinese food in the IE, but didn't want to drive out to Rowland Heights. This place hits the spot for selection, quality and taste. Dim sum came out fresh-delicious! The pork chops are a bit boney, but still excellent, tender and tasty! I had to take off a star for the sticky table, dirty seat and floor area where we sat and the difficulty in getting a servers attention. Everyone was super nice, just they were also not really attentive. Then again there was a super loud, large and fun party in the large dining room towards the back of the restaurant that probably had most of the staff occupied. Happily looking forward to our next visit.
