I really enjoyed my experience at Sizzlin' Place. I had the karaage donburi (fried chicken) and a bowl of spicy ramen, and both were delicious. Everything was prepared exactly how I would have wanted it to be. The chicken was crispy, and the ramen was flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. There are a ton of choices at Haven City Market, and it's easy to feel pressure to make a good choice. This was definite... View all feedback.
What AMaDDeR “MaDDeR” HaTTeR doesn't like about Sizzlin' Place:
Can I give half a star?? Actually minus 5 stars would be a more accurate score. The food was way over priced for something I could have made better, by myself at home, blindfolded. Would it kill the chef to use ANY kind of seasoning. Close your eyes and imagine an orphanage... who lost their funding... THAT is what the expensive food tasted like. NOTHING. To make matters WORSE, when I went back up to ask for some soy... View all feedback.

Would it kill the chef to use ANY kind of seasoning. Close your eyes and imagine an orphanage... who lost their funding... THAT is what the expensive food tasted like. NOTHING. To make matters WORSE, when I went back up to ask for some soy sauce for the bland and flavorless rice, chicken, with 1/2 a can of corn tossed on top, they had the AUDACITY to charge me!! Like... isn't the SEASONING suppose to be PART of the initial preparation??? It was suppose to be a Japanese dish!! What a disgrace! Please do not waste a PENNY here. A frozen Budget meal had more flavor than this over priced slop!
The beef hot plate with cheese and egg is amazing! Love that it comes on a sizzling cast iron plate so your food stays warm through out your meal. The steak and shrimp plate was also a favorite. The butter on the steak is oh so delicious! They have a variety of fruity teas with pippin juice pearls which I love!
Sizzlin' Place is located inside Haven City. I have finally tried it for the first time after coming to Haven City for years. It did not disappoint. My friend and I met here for dinner and we both had the rib eye. I got it with rice which also came with corn, carrots, and mashed potatoes. She got hers with steak fries which came with onions for a side. We also got the tempura shrimp and onion pancake with egg and cheese. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the onion pancake was delicious. I didn't care too much for my sides as my steak topped with a little pat of garlic butter took center stage. I loved how they also have reserved seating just for their place so we didn't have to walk around with those sizzling plates. This helped tremendously because we came on a Friday night and the place was packed! The customer service was very good as she did not mind answering all of my questions and was very patient! Definitely recommend and I will be coming back to try their other offerings.
Looking for a place nearby and decided to come to this food court plaza. Never been here before, walked around the entire place, deciding what to eat. Got enticed from someone's sizzling plate walking by! We noticed that it looked and smelled just like Pepper Lunch. Got the meat plate, comes with rice and corn, selected less salt. Order at the kiosk and someone comes over with a buzzer. The food plate was ready in less than 10 minutes! Hot plate was super hot and it was indeed SIZZLING! Their plates are so hot the rice crisps up which I love the texture of the crispy rice. Pick up the food once the buzzer buzzed. They have seating at their counter and tables in their area. Overall, the price is much cheaper than Pepper Lunch. The plates are hotter and the rice has more flavor. My only complaint that didn't give it 5 stars was that the rice/garlic butter seasoning was a bit too salty for my tastes! So I'm not sure if it was because they forgot to put less salt or because it's actually that salty...
