Despite the Covid restrictions limiting the number of customers, the Tavern was accommodating and offered room service, which was greatly appreciated. The rump steak was excellent, as one would expect in a town known for its beef.

I am impressed! The steak at this restaurant is outstanding. Having tried steak from various locations in Australia and around the world, I can confidently say that the steak I just had was one of the best-cooked and most tender steaks I have ever tasted. I am truly amazed.

We had one of the worst roast dinners ever at this restaurant. The meat was chewy and the vegetables were cold. We mentioned this to the waitress, who spoke to the chef and then returned to tell us that the meat was actually tender and the vegetables were still hot. We were not convinced. We were not looking for a refund, just wanted to provide feedback, but the staff did not seem to care. The waitress was rude. We dine out frequently and this meal was one of the most disappointing we have ever had.

Liked that we could play pool with our children with pre-dinner drink in sports bar before heading into bistro. I found Kilpatrick Oysters to be yum but hubby didn't agree. Kid's meal arrived quickly chips and nuggets can't go wrong. My eye fillet was...deliciously tender where my husband's rib fillet was extremely thin and a bit dry. Our teenager enjoyed his Parmi, good sized meals. Renee was lovely and looked after us well.

Get in early for your meal or book before you go. Seems to be a popular dining place especially for the specials that are on offer.
