It is at the end of turistic way near to Hoher Dachstein, good place to relax after glacier walking.
The new hut was opened on 25 December 2018. The dramatic pale wood interior has picture windows with dramatic views on all sides. It’s a 40-minute walk on a well prepared footpath across the glacier, and (provided you’re reasonably fit) it will be the highlight of your visit to the Dachstein. Coffee, beer, snacks and light refreshments are all reasonably priced. Don’t miss it!
