What User doesn't like about Wakefield Tavern:
Atmosphere is beautiful, inside is beautiful and the staff is nice (if they actually help or you can find help). Leaving 3 stars because menus were very sticky. We sat at the bar, took a while to get drinks to put the food order and pay to go. Eating was okay, I feel they have a lot of opportunity. We had honey Bourbon wings boiled perfectly the sauce was terrible. View all feedback.
Always fantastic! The quality of the food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. There’s a wonderful variety of options on the menu, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The prices are fair for the high-quality food and excellent cuisine you receive. I definitely recommend visiting Wakefield Tavern; it’s one of the best around. Their gluten-free options are among the top choices, and both the pasta and pizzas are delicious. Head over and enjoy—you won’t regret it!
I stumbled upon this cozy spot for a late dinner and a beer, and I have to say, the food was fantastic. We tried the risotto balls and pretzels, both of which were spot on. My husband ordered the spicy pork quesadilla, while I opted for a Cuban sandwich, and both were excellent. We dined outside, where they had heaters set up, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere with the soft lighting and greenery. We both had a great time and will definitely return. Our server was a bit slow, but since it was trivia night and we weren’t in a rush, it worked out just fine.

I have mixed feelings about Wakefield. We were often here and until our last visit. Last night we went and we were greeted by the host with the question, can I help you? Not welcome to Wakefield Tavern....etc... so I told her we want a table for two. Our waitress started well, but after I disappeared our drinks for a while, I got up and started looking for her. As I saw, I can see the employees, talk and fool around. The manager saw me and then got our waitress. She explained what happened and we understood that she was nice and did a good job. The food was okay, something cooked, and about price. I have the chicken pliers and my wife has the Tavern sandwich. We both had a drink and an appetizer. I was withdrawn with the bill over $60, then I usually type 20-25%. We will probably be back because we usually do not judge a place after a visit, especially as the other experiences were good. I hope this is not an indication of a decline in their service, but only once.
Fantastic. Went here on a whim looking for shrimp and grits. The menu is imaginative, the food excellent, service was fast and attentive. The food came quickly, and didn't feel like the speed came at the expense of quality and taste. The outdoor space is beautiful. Highly recommend!
