We live nearby and finally decided to stop in and give this restaurant a try for the first time. We are so glad we did! We visited on New Year's Eve and opted for the chef's selection. The entire experience was enjoyable. Our server was fantastic - personable, knowledgeable, and a great addition to the team. The food was served quickly but in courses, allowing us to fully savor and enjoy each dish. The chef's talent was evident in every bite, particularly in the delicious carbonara. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Excellent food, atmosphere and staff. Try the Seafood Pillows for a different experience that will excite the taste buds. I would a photo of the dish, but my Tita was so thrilled to try it, the first pillow didn’t survive long. Will return very soon with other members of my clan.
I hate giving bad reviews and I really rarely do it, but I feel like my experience here deserves a review. We arrived on a Tuesday evening with a reservation. The weather was great so of course the small patio outside was getting busy. I think when we arrived there were 4 other couples seated outside. The inside was empty. The hostess (who I believe was also the only server AND bartender on staff at the time) seated us promptly and was very friendly. We ordered two cocktails to which our server said It might take a moment for those to arrive but I 'll get them asap. We also ordered two small plates at the same time. 10 minutes or so later our cocktails arrived. They were... well, they were bad. We each ordered the rosemary gimlet and were SO disappointed. I love gimlets so I was excited. This drink was syrupy sweet, had no garnish whatsoever, and didn 't taste at all like rosemary. While we waited for our food we both agreed that if the drinks were good we probably wouldn 't have really been bothered having to wait so long for our food to come out, but unfortunately they weren 't. Eventually it got to be such a long wait that we both decided to just cut our losses and go finish our dinner somewhere else. It was probably 25 minutes before our food arrived and by then it was lukewarm at best. We had jalapeno poppers and some fried risotto balls. The poppers were pretty tasty. I didn 't care for the risotto balls but my friend enjoyed them. When our server returned with silverware we asked for our check, which fortunately didn 't take too long to arrive. So TL;DR: VERY SLOW service, disappointing cocktails, and okay food. I absolutely don 't blame our server for the service. By the time we left the patio was full and I 'm pretty damn sure she was playing the role of server, bartender, and hostess. I felt really bad for her. If the owners read reviews I highly suggest you work on ensuring your restaurant is properly staffed. My friend and I will not return to this restaurant nor will we ever recommend it. I 'm only giving 2 stars because the server was working her butt off and I could tell she was trying her very best.
Jeremy the gang at Uninhibited consistently go above and beyond! The menu is always spectacular, offering a variety of delicious dishes and a great wine list. You have to get the Filet Mignon sliders the Eggplant hummus. If you haven't been, you are truly missing out. This a real Raleigh gem!
The service was okay. It seemed like the staff was a bit busy. Our server mistakenly brought us the wrong dish twice, which we also saw happening to other tables. On a positive note, the server brought someone the wrong wine and they enjoyed it, showing their flexibility. The food was decent, although we were not provided with clean plates for each tapas dish. However, we later realized that many dishes shared ingredients and sauces. Despite some hiccups, we appreciated the concept and plan to return in the future.
