We had to wait an additional two hours for a table, so OpenTable wasn't very useful. When I arrived during restaurant week, the hostess mentioned a 25-minute wait. Although I enjoyed the meal once it arrived, I was really hungry by then. However, our server was excellent, and the manager also came out to check on us. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shuckers Raleigh Priority Seating:
The bar staff was insufficient to serve drinks promptly. Although the wait was for seating, the average time just to place an order at the bar was around 10 minutes. The atmosphere was very crowded and extremely loud. I wouldn't recommend visiting on a Saturday night. However, our waitress was very attentive, especially considering she was handling a party of about 20 guests all on her own. View all feedback.
The dinner was just average overall, and I wouldn't recommend the steak. However, the scallops and the ripening were excellent.

I enjoyed my visit. the service was good when we had set ourselves first, but after the restorer was full, the service became slower. that was great.
The food at Shuckers (which, let's face it, is the most important thing was very good. I had the wasabi encrusted tuna and it was FABULOUS and my husband had the huge steam pot and loved it. We had call-ahead seating and didn't have to wait long, but when they seated our party of four, the table was so small our knees hit together. We asked the waitress and she wasn't too concerned (about that or anything that happened the entire night but we flagged down a manager and he moved us to a booth. The wait staff was not pleased when they realized we had been moved and made sure we knew about it. There would have literally been no room on the table for plates, so make sure you request a booth! The service wasn't poor, but asking for a glass of water took longer than waiting for mixed drinks from the bar. I also thought the wait staff was generally disinterested and extremely unfriendly, although a manager (maybe the owner? did stop by to check on us at one point and the other manager did move us when we asked. Bottom line, however, I would go back just for that tuna!
