I love the food and the setting was nice but I wasn’t too thrilled about the low table seating. I ordered a sour whiskey cocktail I was very disappointed I had a lot of sour mix but overall I enjoyed it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Overlook Raleigh Downtown:
it was really strange, they had a complete menu online and in the restaurant lobby, but we 're pushing a left valentine's menu on the day after and a condensed lunch type menu. eating was okay, but too expensive. View all feedback.
My family of four attended their “family-friendly New Year's Eve” event. There were plenty of children there, so I wasn't the only one expecting a family-oriented atmosphere. However, they didn't even offer a kids' menu. The sangria was disappointing, and the service left much to be desired. While the food was decent, the overall experience was not worth the $200 we spent on dinner. I wish I had chosen a different place to celebrate New Year's Eve.
This is a lively restaurant with delicious food and a fantastic location in downtown. However, the service can occasionally be slow. One thing to watch out for is that every time we've dined there, they haven't informed Open Table of our reservation. As a result, we have to reach out to Open Table ourselves to ensure we receive our points!
The restaurant seemed to lack management, which resulted in a limited wine selection as many options were unavailable. The steak frites was shockingly overpriced at $37 and arrived cold. We had to transfer it to other plates at our table just to reheat it. Additionally, we were required to place all our food orders at once due to the sluggish kitchen service, forcing us to have appetizers alongside our main courses. Instead of a proper table for dinner—despite our reservation—we were seated at a long high-top table. We were dressed for the ballet and had higher expectations for this outing, especially considering the hotel's promotions and a positive experience we had a few years ago. Unfortunately, it seems the quality has declined significantly. We will not be coming back.
Our group tried 3 or 4 menu items. All agreed the food was excellent. Atmosphere was great for 5 people to have pleasant conversation and watch the city change over from day to night. Service was excellent and access to parking and the performing arts center was outstanding. Will definitely come back here again.
Both Overlook and the Terrace are small space Terrace is at the top of the Radisson, Overlook on the 2nd floor but has a view. Very attentive wait staff, everyone friendly and helpful. Menu is simple but substantial. Food is reasonably priced, well prepared and presented but wine by the bottle is not worth it . Will definitely return.
