The staff at the restaurant was welcoming and attentive. I decided to try the decaf Voltaire as recommended by the barista, and ended up purchasing a bag of decaf espresso beans. I made the trip specifically to taste these offerings. View all feedback.
What MaKenna Day doesn't like about Cup A Joe:
I have sampled most of the coffee options and they are all exceptionally good! The indoor seating area is quite compact and unremarkable, but there are some lovely outdoor tables that are perfect for enjoying the nice weather. View all feedback.
Friendly staff. Lots of options and fast service. Closed on Tuesday!
Great Coffee and atmosphere. The only problem is the store seems to be closed due to staffing issues.
Great coffee shop. Relaxed and unpretentious. It's a great spot for studying and socializing.Above was my review of this place from 4 years ago in which I was a fan. Fast forward to 2022 and it’s a bit different. My gripe is not with the coffee, it’s still great. My issue is with the level of Covid paranoia that is just over the top. Cannot exit out the same door, no inside seating, only going past a certain point for bathroom only. It went from coffee shop to what is essentially an order window then hurried back outside. It’s just not as good of a customer experience anymore and it’s sad to see such a low key place become so high strung.
Awesome coffee! The outside seating is very nice, a great place to relax with a good cup of coffee. The trainwrecks do a great job of balancing sweeteners with the delicious coffee. I don't recommend the breakfast sandwiches though as mine was sloppy and bland.
Amazing coffee- I haven't found a better brew in Raleigh yet. They have a million styles of beans to try from around the world. The place is kinda grungy, and sometimes the staff are pushy, but that's the vibe. The coffee is definitely worth looking past that.
