Carolina Ale House Raleigh

My boyfriend and I visited here. We ordered wings, a burger meal, and the salmon salad for myself. Everything was tasty. My only complaint is the heat on the outside part. But it is outside, so that’s to be expected. My man asked for us to be moved and was moved promptly. My server, Joe, I think that was his name. He was amazing and very helpful.

Great location! Service was good, they accommodated me and made me a sandwich that was off the limited menu. The atmosphere is also great, I'd say this is by far the nicest Carolina Ale House there is!

My boyfriend and I visit this place often since it’s close by and it’s always a nice place to go for drinks on the weekends but my last visit was not fun in the least. We had a wonderful bartender named Christal who was wonderful to chat with and we had a lot of fun talking with her, but the other bartender (Blake) was just awful from the very beginning. She had a bad attitude before we even got to our seats and it seemed like she thought she owned the bar. She seemed offended that we were having a great time conversing with Christal and she kept trying to eavesdrop on our conversations. It was creepy and it started to really put a halt to our good mood. But it didn’t get really bad until we decided to buy a drink for another lady in the bar who was celebrating her 21st birthday. When the lady came over to say thank you for the drink, Blake decided to berate her and us because she assumed the lady was coming over to the bar to buy a drink and that would “take away money from the server that was at their table”. We tried to explain that we had bought the lady a drink for her birthday but the bartender decided to take her pettiness even further by ignoring us while trying to continue in her tirade to the young lady we bought a drink for. It was atrocious behavior and she really overstepped her station by acting this way and ruining the night for not only us but also the young lady who was celebrating her birthday. I hope the management will take care of this situation because this sort of behavior is unacceptable. So, just a word to the wise, if you have a bartender named Blake, ask for someone else. Christal and the other bartenders we have had are all great so you are in good hands with them.

It was a pretty busy Saturday when we went there was some drinking event going on So I can understand the waiteress being kind of bland because she was very likely overworked and lots of people there she was not rude but not attentive to details We had to ask several times for different things that we already asked for Once again she was no way rude I guess they were short staffed in the bathroom cleaning because the ladies bathroom was absolutely filthy at 2 o'clock in the afternoon I don't know what time they open but it was filthy at 2 pm My cop salad was absolutely fantastic My honey's brisket he said was very tasty It's worth a visit It's big and spacious and plenty of seating

I ordered takeout. I waited about 20 minutes before going to the restaurant. When I got there, it took me about 5 minutes to find someone that could help me. When I did, he told me that it wasnt ready yet (no problem). I asked him how long it would be, he didnt know....nor was he willing to ask. I take a phone call, and I come back. When I come back it appeared as though my order was ready. When I picked it up, it was noticeably light. I checked my bag and only 1 of the 3 things I ordered was there. I have to search for the person who was in charge of the takeout orders. He then tells me they couldnt make my order because they didnt have the ingriedients. He said they would refund me. I obviously was not happy after waiting, but Im a reasonable person. They take more time trying to figure out if they could give me a refund. Eventually I ask to speak to the manager. Instead of getting the manager he proceeds to help someone (A white male) who has been standing there for about 30 seconds. The other customer looks at me and apologizes because clearly my concern was at the bottom of the host priority list. Finally the manager comes and gives me my proof of refund. I leave. When I leave I seen this very interesting sign about not accepting customers with baggy clothes ...or glasses...(I wonder whom that was for) The place was dirty. Dont waste your time or money here. Never again.
