I ended up waiting 25 minutes for my order, which raised a red flag, but I had already paid. True BBQ should allow the ribs to shine on their own without heavy marinades, with sauce added only if desired. Although the woman working there was very friendly, she seemed preoccupied with DoorDash drivers coming in for pickups. The place might have a nice atmosphere if it had more customers, but it fell flat during my visit. I suspect they have a professional PR person managing their image, which could explain their favorable press. Just a heads-up: if you're considering ordering a full pan of brisket for $250, be sure to ask about the weight you're actually getting. I also noticed that I couldn't leave comments on the one-star reviews, indicating they might be restricted.

The same was true for the sides; they were out of yams as well. Considering the service we experienced at 6 PM, I left feeling uncertain about their ability to manage a larger, unannounced group during the week. It might be a good idea to call ahead if you're planning to bring more than six people. On the positive side, the majority of the food we ordered was enjoyable.
