Went there tonight before the fights and got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy, and the waffle was light and was a good mixture. Haven't had a bad meal there View all feedback.
What Lisa O doesn't like about Trainview:
We tried the new location a couple of weeks ago, and if possible, it was even worse when we tried them on Gorham St. Still the same boring lackluster BBQ, no smoke flavor, over sweet bottled BBQ sauce. String french fries should be banned in restaurants! For gods sake, get some real fries with skin or at least steak fries. It also didn 't help that they arrived after our food was finished. Service was pitiful, slow,... View all feedback.

The food was ok, but not very good if you 're calling yourself a BBQ restaurant. The food I had, lacked any smokey flavour. I 'm wondering who and how many have given Mill City a 5 star review and never tasted real quality BBQ. I visited on Sat night approx. 6:30. There is virtually no parking, had to walk about 100 yds. from parking spot. There was not another soul in the place besides myself. I was ordering take-out and wanted some brisket, (I waited close to 10 minutes before anyone noticed there was a customer in the place) I was told they were out, or they really weren 't out, they needed brisket to fill the pick-up phone orders. I asked to buy a rack of ribs and was told you don 't really want to do that I asked why and she said because she would have to charge me $42 for a whole rack (preposterous price). I ordered the smoked rib dinner $24 for three (3) ribs and two miniscule sides and some soggy cornbread. I also ended up waiting 25 minutes for my order, red flag but I had already paid. No true BBQ joint marinates ribs, they should stand alone on taste, and add your own sauce if wanted. The woman there was very, very nice but pre-occupied with door dash etc... drivers coming in to pick up orders. The place seemed like it might have a good vibe if there were any customers in there but... They have a very good, paid professional PR person, I 'm guessing that 's why they get such good press . Just an FYI if/when you 're thinking of ordering that full pan of brisket, ask about the weight of product you 're getting for $250.00 I 've also noticed that I at least was not able to comment(saying it was helpful etc..)on the 1 star ratings.
Staff was nice. Large space. Sits on a corner. Street parking could be tough to find but it is free after 6pm. Otherwise, a garage at 100 Market St. is just a 6 min walk away. Service was decent. Would have wanted a bit more attention. Once we were served with initial drinks, no one asked if we all wanted another, so we sat with empty glasses until the food arrived. Waitress never came back to table in between. Only two tables were being served in entire restaurant since they just opened. We had to them ask for another drink once the food arrived. Situated in a multi-cultural area, they didn't have two different kinds of requested beers. This too was surprising since they just opened for the day. Same goes for the sides. Yams were out also. Based on the service I received at 6pm, I left with doubt they would be able to handle a large, unannounced group in the middle of the week. May want to call first if you bring more then 6 people. Most of the food we all ordered was good.
I've never been to this restaurant but have only had good things and very cool hip spot to eat
Food smelled good waited 1 hour for drinks with several other groups. Other 3 groups didn't wait.
