Mi Casa Steak House Latin Bistro

On Valentine's Day, I made a reservation for my lady and me ahead of time and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed a few bottles of their favorite wine along with delicious steaks and appetizers. The staff was very attentive and the bistro atmosphere was perfect for a date!

Our experience at the restaurant was fantastic from start to finish. We had a reservation, so there was no waiting time. The hostess and server were excellent, both friendly and attentive. I asked a server who was not assigned to our table if she could take a photo of us, and she agreed right away. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was delicious, and the music selection was great, with old-school salsa and classic tunes playing. The restaurant is also BYOB, which is a bonus. I would definitely go back!

I wanted to love this restaurant based on the good reviews, but unfortunately, it fell short. The service was extremely poor – we waited for 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, no water or anything. The waiter apologized and admitted he forgot about our table, even though he was the only other waiter there. Throughout the night, he offered complimentary chips as an apology. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks other than water, as they had forgotten to bring us even that. The tamarind wings were not good, tasting like frozen wings from a wholesale store. When we sent them back, they didn't even ask if something was wrong. The shrimp in garlic sauce was delicious, though, and a highlight of the meal. Our food took over an hour to arrive. The ribeye steak was decent, but lacked flavor and was overcooked. The flan dessert was good. The menu was limited, mostly focused on meat options. The portion sizes were generous, but the overall experience was disappointing. The restaurant itself was nicely renovated, but sitting under a loud TV playing music made communication difficult. I wish the whole experience had been better.

I REALLY wanted to like this place as I waited forever for them to reopen after the hurricane. I was really disappointed. It looks really nice inside. Spanish music playing. The prices are severely overinflated. For starters, we got the tamarind wings, which were great, and the tempura shrimp. They were not tempura, but rather some basic frozen fried shrimp horrible. I got the skirt steak which came out cooked perfectly. This was well worth the price of $28. Presentation is on a piece of wood but it's not wood interesting. My dining companion got the rib eye for $48 and what came out was a $10 steak from Shoprite; they should be ashamed of themselves charging $48 for that pitiful thing! It wasn't even thick. Overall we spent $110 on two apps and two entrees. They also have no liquor license. They really need to get their prices in check or they won't be open very long. Also the chimichurri that came with the steak was made when olives.. since when is chimichurri made with olives? Gross. I will not be back.

Great little steakhouse. My family and I went New Years Day. We had two appetizers the hummus and the chorizo. The chorizo was the best we’ve ever had. Dinner we ordered the rib eye, 16 oz filet mignon, and skirt steak. All cooked perfectly to our liking. Our sides were maduros and yuca. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious not one complaint. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to enjoy some great food.
