A detour from the Cassia is a must to sample some of the area's typical dishes. We enjoyed an excellent platter of cured meats and cheeses, but the real treat was the pasta: delicious with cacio e pepe, but the real surprise was the garlic, oil, and breadcrumbs!!! Excellent dishes. We'll definitely be back.
I don 't know how to describe it... restaurant-pub? Wine bar with a kitchen? I don 't think it matters that much. Something truly remarkable here is the cazzagnoli, a pasta shape similar to pici, but made with a completely different process that makes them firmer and more suitable for the various sauces offered. We ordered Aglio olio e briciole, Aglione (red garlic), and Cacio e pepe. This was followed by a mixed platter of local cured meats and cheeses and a mix of bruschetta (liver, pecorino and lard, cacio e pepe). And to finish, homemade tiramisu. While the variety may seem limited, it 's actually its strong point, fueling the high quality of the dishes (made in-house daily). Excellent wines; we were offered a truly remarkable local red. The staff were very kind, helpful, and friendly, and the service was prompt but not rushed. A stop here is a must.
Al Tocco isn 't just a restaurant, it 's an experience that will stay with you forever. Where cuisine becomes emotion, in the authentic heart of Radicofani. Sitting at the tables of Al Tocco, right on Radicofani 's main square, means entering a corner of true Tuscany, made of intense aromas, sincere smiles, and dishes that tell a story with every forkful. The atmosphere is intimate, welcoming, elegantly presented without ostentation, and makes you immediately feel like you 're in the right place. The CAZZAGNOLI are the restaurant 's signature dish: pasta made according to tradition, flavorful, just the right amount of texture, and masterfully seasoned. A dish you won 't forget and that stays in your head for days. The wine list is well-cured, with quality labels that enhance every course without ever missing a beat. The staff is simply impeccable: smiling, professional, polite, attentive but never intrusive. Here, you 're not just any customer; you 're a true guest. And just when you think you 've experienced the best, the owner 's homemade desserts arrive: authentic, delicious, and full of soul. They 're not the classic just for the sake of it finale; they 're the final touch that makes you leave the table with a big smile. If Chef Antonio Cannavacciuolo and Chef Cracco were to pass by, they should sit down, take notes, and learn in silence because here at Al Tocco, you don 't need stage lights: all you need is passion, respect for the customer, and a true love for cooking. Five stars, no question. Here, you don 't eat: you feel good.
