Beautifully renovated, picturesque, very pleasant and helpful staff, including the owner. Excellent meal! We had a great time with the children, including visits and feeding the local animals! I would like to recommend you a delicious meal experience from Chef Martin. It was good looking and even better tasting, portioned with lots of delicious ingredients. Thanks to chef, this visit definitely wasn’t my last. Our accommodation was very nice and clean. I definitely do recommend to visit the farm and beautiful nature surrounding Farma Michael. Good for family, youth and even as a solo trip. Service: 5

Wedding on Farma Michael: Hands off – first appearances are deceiving The first impression of Farma Michael is great. It looks like a modern Bullerbü in the beautiful landscape of South Bohemia. But unfortunately we had a very very bad experience with the Farma and especially the management team there at our wedding. Because we were planning a wedding with friends and family from the Czech Republic and Germany, we were looking for a location that was reasonably conveniently located and had room for all guests to stay overnight. Farma Michael offered us two nights Fri/Sat with fewer guests and Sat/Sun with the full number of guests . So far, so good. Unfortunately, the cooperation with the farm 's team over several months of preparation turned out to be just as petty as the gagging contract suggested. No sense of service or hospitality the operators ' only interest is maximizing profits. The contract stipulates that all known costs must be paid before the event begins. No refunds possible. A few of the low lights: The rooms were poorly heated or not heated at all the first night. Even the bride got her makeup done in a cold, unheated bridal suite. Some of the rooms were not cleaned dust, cobwebs . The soup for the wedding menu was cold this is especially annoying if you have to rent cutlery separately for the wedding lunch . The second course arrived an hour after the cold soup. And, of course, each meal had wedding as a prefix and thus triple the price of the same meal on the restaurant 's menu. A reluctantly stoked oven in one of the dining rooms was so hot that a friend 's dress burned on it. The manager 's only comment was, I guess you have an insurance. No telling what would have happened if one of the children playing had fallen against the stove. Drinks spilled by staff on guest pants were added to the bill. Paid ! lunches for the band were not served, instead they were directed to the far less expensive cold buffet. Other than that, the band was treated like a bunch of low quality service providers. The owner literally said I will kick you out, if you play too loud. only after he had heard them play, he suddenly wanted them to play more – which they politely refused . The resident DJ is a disaster calling him a DJ is an insult to the guild . We had talked through our music requests with him in advance via email. And the answers sounded as if everything was clear. At the event itself it turned out that he does not speak a word of English and obviously someone from the farm had answered the mail to make us shut up. The peak of impudence was when in a list of variable costs long after the contract was signed and the first installments paid suddenly a service fee of 1.000 euros 24.000 CZK appeared. Upon inquiry, the laconic answer came that the General Manager and CEO thought this was correct. Negotiating this cost alone took days and above all nerves. I also found the owner very unpleasant and creepy. He stalked the grounds without greeting anyone let alone congratulating the bride and groom , he took photos of the wedding ceremony from the bushes, and just made it abundantly clear that he absolutely loathes guests on his private property. And there were many more points that made our stay at the farm very unpleasant: two thirds of the wedding cake had disappeared after the cutting mgmt team Unfortunately, it stayed in the kitchen , the food of the cold buffet was not to be found after a certain time due to hygenic reasons they said, but then handed out some cookies on manually cut card board , for breakfast there were not enough seats and and and All this, mind you, for the price of a mid range car in a location that, in the course of the summer, had hyped itself up from Farma Michael to Grand Farma Michael. Bottom line: despite all the hassle, we 're married and probably won 't need a wedding venue again. But if we do, it certainly won 't be Farma Michael. Pro tip: Hands off!
