Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in Quito offers excellent quality food, with some reviews mentioning standout starters and delicious meals. However, there were mixed opinions on the service, with some noting disorganization but generally friendly and attentive staff. The dining room atmosphere was described as slightly formal, but the bar was highlighted as sweet and cozy. In terms of health and safety measures, the restaurant was commended for spacing out tables appropriately during the pandemic. Overall, despite some disappointments with certain dishes and pricing, the establishment proved to be a good option for those staying at the hotel.
Outstanding meal in every way food was incredible, so delicious and service was equally good, lovely waiter very knowledgeable and so friendly. Cannot recommend this more. If we are ever back in Quito we will be coming again.
Delicious food and very attentive service. We were nervous going out to eat for the first time in months due to the pandemic, but the tables were spaced far apart and the restaurant was going above and beyond to follow appropriate health standards
Terrific food. Great service. Lovely wine. The music needs improvement: it sounds like MIDI music from a karaoke bar or an elevator
Highly recommended facilities and service. Very good food and wine selection
We were guests at the Casa Gangotena, a Relais&Chateau hotel. So for the first 1st night in Quito, I booked at their restaurant. A beautifully appointed small dining room, with very high ceilings, linen table cloths, and a very inventive and highly varied small menu. I was not particularly hungry (altitude? so I ordered small plates—-Ecuadorian empanadas (3, one pork,, one chicken, and one cheese served with 2 perfect dipping sauces excellent, eggplant marinated in Cabernet Sauvignon served with a vegetable purée and a potato dish that tasted like risotto. Delicious, and the eggplant went perfectly with the Cab they had on their by the glass wine menu. For dessert I ordered the Lemon Verbena creme brûlée. Fantastic, but enough to serve at least 2-3 people. The wine list is nice with nice selections from Spain and Chile and Argentina, but I would have liked more Ecuadorean wines, by the glass, especially since a full bottle would have been way too much for a single diner If I am ever in Quito again, I would book the Restaurant at the Casa Gangotena in a heart beat.
