Playa Juan Dolio (media Luna)

Quite peaceful beach atmosphere here. Food from local restaurants very good, beach is so-so with clutter. Locals beach merchants plentiful but respectful.

Really good, sad part is that the tables are a little bit expensive for small groups

Some people were cooking on the beach, the smoke bothered me. Beaches were done to enjoy and to bath ourselves.

On Saturday, a week before the Easterfest 2018, arrived on the afternoon. located at the eastern end of the beach, had a lot of parking and the beach was not too crowded. but around 3-4 clock, the beach was filling up, and so was the parking lot. earlier to go and earlier would be a good idea, unless they like the evening beach scene. this special beach is family-oriented with tons of children play. I'm single and I wasn't disturbed at all. pay attention to the parking lot, as they are solicited by so-called parking visitors. paid 100 pesos, but as I went around 17 o'clock, was approached by the licensed parking authority that asked for payment. plead ignorance, said it was my first time visit was not aware that the rules. was also said that parking is free when it was the restaurant before the paragliding. Juan dolio is one of the closest beach of santo domingo. boca chica is the next, but is too full of the salesmen. juan dolio offers clean sand and water as boca chica and they do not allow no loud music.
