A group of three of us stopped here for lunch last Sunday, 28 May 2017. They only had one menu with four courses all of which came with a glass of wine. We sat outside with a view of the fantastic pool and they treated us like kings, in our motorcycle leathers and all. We didn't really want four courses and didn't want to spend 39 Euros. However, the food was soooo good and the wine was simply divine we were happy as... View all feedback.

This is the fourth or fifth poor meal that we had experienced on this Holiday in Quillan. I would just sum it up as not very special despite the rather high prices. There are lots of little flurishes but all the food was underseasoned and we felt it was a real tourist trap. View all feedback.
This was our first visit to Le Brantalou. We knew to expect a busy holiday environment, even allowing for COVID restrictions, but were not as prepared as we thought for the experience that ensued! The staff were friendly enough and the Chef passed by our...table to welcome us before we ordered, which was a nice touch. There were hoards of holiday-makers bustling through the restaurant and around the pool and we happened to choose an evening when the Kids’ Club was in full flow (with disco and lights We were sitting adjacent to the pool which would have been fine on any other evening. There was also a sizeable group of people drinking large quantities of red wine and clearly relishing the experience! The food was OK but rather expensive and didn’t live up to our expectations. Nothing special. Can’t say much more than that. We would probably give the restaurant another try, out of season, but our evening was less than relaxing, rather raucous and we were quite exhausted by the time we returned home! We were left feeling a little disappointed.
We had a good value for meal. Steaks and filet mignon very good Most enjoyable, friendly service and good value for money
We attended the degustation of seafood and were quite disappointed with the food. The prawns were severely over cooked and unpleasant very flowery , one fish course was paired with a creamed rice side which did not go very well with the fish. i...had to ask for towelettes for my hands. Otherwise the service was excellent but we were all disappointed with the food. Previously we had found it superb and thought the degustation would be terrific, considering the higher price sorry no
Have eaten here many times, lunch and dinner and also large gatherings, locally we call the site that the restaurant is situated on the Belgium village. In the holiday months it can get very busy, the ouside eating area is next to the pool. We...had trouble several years ago when we asked for one vegetarian meal, the kitchen staff pushed the duck of the plate, left the vegtab!es and served the plate, you could see the marks where the meat had been. The menu of the day is excellent and very good value for money, would recommend and make sure u book in the busy months.
We ordered salmon and lamb. Both were finely presented, tasty and good value. Staff were very friendly. Only downside was the restaurant was very quiet so there was not much atmosphere.
