It is grand and when we entered we were given the 'grand' treatment by the very competent waiter/manager but, fair does, he later mellowed. The food was good, although it's not cheap, and there are some good wines to match. View all feedback.

The restaurant is in a beautiful large room. When we arrived at 8 PM there was only one couple there, huddled in a corner of this huge room. When a waiter showed up at our table, it was the same young man who had checked...us into the pousada across the way earlier. Beautiful restaurant, definitely somewhere for a tasty, the building is quite amazing and the service very good
Lovely and sophisticated environment. The service is excellent. I enjoyed the assorted desserts very much.
Simply disappointed! The setting is beautiful: old traditional Portuguese atmosphere. But the food doesn't follow and is pricey. They had no shame to serve chips out of the bag as a side dish, and to serve lamb chops with bbq sauce. More like american diner style than 5* pousada traditional food. Go for the setting, don't expect Portuguese cuisine, be prepared for Mc donalds style! Worse food i had in one week in portugal tbh :(
First impression was good but at the end the food don't belong to a high level of quality. The prices are very high for the type of quality of the dishes
Uma sala lindíssima, que junta a grandeza da cozinha antiga (a chaminé do espeto, a mesa de pedra) com os toques de requinte de um restaurante de primeira categoria. A comida é boa, sem ser extraordinária. O buffet de sobremesas é uma aventura inigualável de sabor e prazer. O serviço é excelente.
