What aliram doesn't like about Cafe Society:
The restaurant offered a separate gluten-free and vegan menu, and I was thrilled to see vegan feta on the options! However, I was disappointed that there were no vegan items available in the cabinet food. Additionally, Matt received a vegetarian dish instead of a vegan one, which contained halloumi, so that wasn't ideal. View all feedback.
There’s a separate vegan menu, which is awesome. We tried the ‘vegan society breakfast’ and the shakshuka, which came with scrambled tofu and pita. Everything was really nice. I did get a large soy flat white, which wasn’t very flavoursome so get an extra shot or stick with regular size next time
One of few restaurants in QT that actually has a separate Vegan menu. Been there 3 times and the food is well prepared, tasty and a beautiful presentation despite how busy they are. Highly recommend.
Found this place while driving out of Queenstown. What a gem! Lots of options. We had the vegan versions of the Society Breakfast, Mushroom Medley and Warm Nourish Salad Bowl. All delicious and well thought out. Some restaurants just remove the protein and it feels like it’s unbalanced definitely not the case here! Highly recommend.
Went here once quite a while ago and had mushroom and kale on toast and it was really delicious- hopefully they still offer it! However it makes me sad they charge 80c for non-dairy coffee, better off going to Black White across the road as they offer vegan food which is great, their coffee is the best in the area AND they dont charge for non-dairy!
I visited for the first time today, and as someone with celiac disease, I was thrilled to discover at least five options for morning tea. They also have a gluten-free menu available!
