Always a good meal, menu could use some tweaking to accomodate the tastebuds of the younger generation but otherwise it's good. Obviously calamari and fish is delicious. Lovely spot for lunch with the family overlooking the ocean View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rip View Bistro:
Lunched here fortnightly, friendly staff, great menu.... doubtful be back. New Chef, new menu, more expensive, especially for lunch. Tried the Eggplant parmi, sweet potato fries and salad, ate half, very dry. Bring back the favourites, pumpkin quiche, rissoles, fisherman's basket and the place might be filled with visitors again, very disappointing. View all feedback.
The other week came to lunch. halfway through my meal I noticed there was a bug in my salat. I called the waitress to notify her. she took my shield away without even giving me a chance to show her where the fault was. she came back and told me she couldn't find the mistake. she was very rude about it, and when the kitchen ended, I couldn't replace my meal, and I was still the full price for the meal, although I wasn't able to finish it as it was rudely sneaked away from me. everything I was offered was not a fee for the desert that was not wise for the price of the main meal. I have never had such a bad customer service and such an rude waitress...read more

Really enjoyed this meal, came in last week with the girlfriend, the menu caters for all at an insane price! talked to the chef and the specials are created in conjunction with the local butcher and fishery, I had the snapper and it was amazing. Perfect view and table side service. The view only adds to the experience a quick game of bowls in the sun dosn't hurt as well. All in all 10/10
Relaxed, Family Friendly. If you 're after fine dining, maybe look elsewhere this is not a gastropub as the description states. However, the food is good, the view is fantastic and the atmosphere is chilled (albeit slightly geriatric). Don 't get me wrong I do like this place it has old school charm of a true blue bowls club. Service is good, the staff are very accommodating and the meals are tasty and generous. I had the gnocchi with crab and prawns and my husband had the parma. Beers are standard Bowls Club fare (Carlton, Cascade etc), but they are making an effort to introduce some local brews and 'Cavalier ' from Brunswick West. I will be happy to go back just the two of us...read more
A . Had our Christmas breakup last week with a party of 15 at the Ripview bistro in queenscliff. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and it was very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend for all types of people. Menu had a good selection and drinks were cheap! We will be back
