Reviews summary
Nestled in a quiet corner of Sunnyside, this quaint café offers a mix of highlights and disappointments. While patrons rave about the friendly atmosphere and delightful vegan croissants, opinions on the coffee range from excellent to lackluster. Many enjoy the flavorful oat lattes and strong cold brews, though some express concern over inconsistent quality and service. The space is small, ideal for on-the-go orders, especially for those walking their dogs. With mouthwatering pastries like chocolate croissants and madeleines, the café warrants a visit, though diners hope for consistent coffee excellence and improved customer care in future visits.

Great coffee and the personal is always so warm and welcoming. they are also fast for these coffee runs when they run late for work. great nightlife café!
I won't say who, but this person does the worst coffee in nyc. When he does the coffee, he doesn't clean the filter holder that cuts the taste. (it is the most important point of departure when you make coffee I also have a question whether he knows how to make coffee right.
Would be here everyday if I lived in the area! The cold brew with oat milk is magic.

I have been here three times. The coffee is very good and the owner has always seemed nice. I will say I’m not happy about my recent visit. I got a cup of coffee and saw that they had croissants. I’m used to going into a coffee shop and asking if they can warm up the croissant for me. I asked and was told, “they are fresh.” The croissants were not warm, and they were not toasted. Maybe they were fresh, but they were cold. I know because I bought one. I then asked for butter for the croissant, and I was told they don’t have any. Come on man, if that’s the way you are going to conduct service, I can go buy a box of the same or similar croissants down the street and have some with butter at home. This comes across as lazy service. You need to set yourself apart. It costs nothing for you to toast or heat up a croissant for a customer. I gave three stars because your coffee is good, but you need to give a little effort as a business owner.
Marcell is the barrista there most of the time; a very nice gentleman who tries to teach me a few words in French each time
Delicious latte... Will definitely return to sip delicious coffee and have an easy chill time sitting outside.
Underwhelming. Got an iced latte with an extra shot and still couldn't really taste the coffee. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten there right after they opened? The chocolate croissant was delicious though! This place is TI-NY, like, it can't fit more than 2 people at a time comfortably. Stop by if you're really in the mood for a good chocolate croissant, but the coffee was much very passable.
The espresso and chai here were really good, however the only person working there was either not listening to me or just extremely rude. He told me they didn't have milk alternatives when I could see them in the fridge, he never gave me my change, he didn't put ice in my drink and I had to remind him to put espresso in it. Overall it was just kind of a pain in the ass.

Off the beaten path of Queens Blvd. Guys behind the bar are super welcoming and friendly. They service devocion! Cold brew is strong and espresso is perfectly pulled. Quaint, relaxed vibes.
So glad this little shop is here! Perfect for morning dog walkers (pet friendly) and has a small, cute outdoor seating area on a quiet street. Joshua?s oat latte was simply perfect.
What happened to the Devocion croissants? This rating and review is only for their pastries, not coffees. I thought they were selling Devocion good croissants (or at least a quality of that)and I finally had a chance to try them a few weeks ago. When my husband went to get them, the plain ones were out and we could only get the chocolate croissants and Apple turnovers. A week later we tried for the second time and this time they had the plain one. My husband got them but little did he know that they no longer serve Devocion croissants or any ?good? croissants. It was the worst plain croissant I had in life: it was dry yet soft on the outside outside, not much layers, no buttery flavor and no texture. I?ve had much better ones from supermarkets. It was a better experience when we only got the chocolate one and the Apple turnover. Willing to go back if they start carrying the Devocion croissants or something of that quality.
It's nice to have a good coffee shop. But I went there around 9am. I believe it's opened 7am but the sign and the bench were located inside and the guy was sitting behind the bench watching his cell phone..., so I wasn't sure if it was before opening. Tables were outside though. I wanted nice welcoming vibes for the morning coffee ????
I have visited this restaurant three times. The coffee is excellent and the owner has always been friendly. However, I was disappointed during my recent visit. I ordered a cup of coffee and noticed they had croissants. I typically ask coffee shops to warm up my croissant, so I inquired about this. Unfortunately, I was told they were fresh and not warmed up. The croissants were cold, and when I asked for butter, I was informed they did not have any. This lack of effort in customer service was disappointing. It would not have cost anything for them to warm up or toast the croissant. While I gave three stars for the good coffee, as a business owner, they should strive to provide better service to set themselves apart from competitors.
