Was Acava at Cara Mia a mag?
According to what I've heard, this Italian restaurant has been a part of the community for quite some time. The ambiance is charmingly rustic yet comfortable, featuring table booths along both sides of the dining room, with tables in the center. While I was tempted to try their homemade pastas, I ended up ordering the Capri along with a side of pasta, which was very tasty. They also offer generous pours for their wel... View all feedback.
What Ms V dislikes about Cara Mia:
Cara Mia has made a significant investment in their atmosphere, and it looks fantastic. Unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The Cara Mia Shrimp, which was meant to be creamy, turned out to be watery, just like the baked clams. The staff was busy, but it felt like they missed the basics of service. Our waiter never checked in on our meals or asked if we needed anything until we finally had to flag him d... View all feedback.

We love Cara Mia. Delicious food. Great service. Nice atmosphere. Been going there for years.
Love going to Cara Mia !!! Great food and wonderful staff.
Everything, from the food to the service to the warm and cozy atmosphere.
Great food, large portions. Great service everyone so helpful.
Great service and the best restaurant in Queens!!! The food is amazing. I just tried the penne ala Vodka sauce with grilled shrimp. It was awesome. The fettuccine Alfredo with fried shrimp is great and they have the best fried calamari in NY!!!!! My wife’s favorite dish is the Gnocchi Bolognese she loves it!!!
Cara Mia has transformed its environment into a welcoming haven that complements its offerings, though there is some inconsistency in food quality. While favorites such as freshly cooked pasta and flavorful sauces have garnered praise, certain dishes like the shrimp and baked clams have disappointed. However, the attentive service and cozy atmosphere stand out, with many patrons enjoyably celebrating special occasions. Highlights include the exceptional Pazzo salad and the spicy vodka cavatelli, enticing diners to indulge in generous portions. Cara Mia is a must-visit for anyone seeking a slice of authentic Italian cuisine, even as it prepares for a new chapter in Floral Park.

Upon arrival great greeting Excellent food and service Friendly staff Owner on the spot with specialty plate prepared.
This restaurant is a true hidden gem in the neighborhood! I have been a loyal customer for years and can't believe I haven't written a review before. If I could rate them more than 5 stars, I definitely would (and that's saying something). This unassuming spot serves some of the best Italian cuisine in Queens. I'm sad to hear they are moving to Floral Park because the original location is so convenient for me. I appreciate the consistently delicious food they serve. I have never had a bad meal here, everything on the menu is fantastic. But my personal favorite is their Pazzo salad, made with grilled veggies, fresh greens, mozzarella, provolone, and a flavorful balsamic dressing. It's the perfect way to start a delightful meal. What's more, the portions are generous and every main dish comes with a side of pasta, salad, or fries. I always end up taking leftovers home. The service here is exceptional, the staff is experienced, friendly, and hardworking. They truly make you feel like part of the family. I hope the new location maintains the same level of excellence. Best of luck at the Floral Park spot, it has been a pleasure dining here many times!
This restaurant is amazing! I've dined here quite a few times when I was younger. At that time, yelp wasn't really a thing but now that it is, I felt it was worthy of a review. Came to celebrate my cousins Birthday. I love the vibe, it's clean and comfortable. The staff is attentive and friendly. I especially love that you never have to ask for a refill on water. Another great point is they don't rush you and space out the appetizers and meals. There is nothing worse than being rushed when you are coming to enjoy a meal. The menu has something for everyone. My favorite is the spicy vodka cavetelli. The portions are great, the food is fresh, prices are fairs-what more can you ask for. I know they are leaving this location soon, I will miss it but look forward to visiting the new location. It is worth a trip. Highly recommend!
I can't wait for Cara Mia to open in Floral Park. The food is excellent, so be sure to give it a try for yourself. I guarantee you'll love it. Once it opens, I'll definitely be going with all of my friends.
Classic Italian restaurant. I love this authentic restaurant with a variety of Italian dishes. Favorite is the penne Al vodka with it's delicious creamy sauce and grilled chicken. Make sure to stop by this restaurant and enjoy a great meal

Went on Mother's day with my Wife Mom and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Appetizers were real good and entrees fantastic. Service was friendly and efficient and we left quite satisfied with our meals. Comfy atmosphere also was a plus. Food was very fresh! 5 stars
The pasta is always cooked fresh and my lasagna was perfect. The red sauce is so good and its not like some resturants where the red sauce gives you heart burn. The sauce is perfect. The bread came out warm and toasty for the table. The service was also very good. I absolutely love the mango martini and would recommend that. Average cost for 2 people will probably be over $100. If its packed it will be VERY loud inside so if your looking for a quiet place this isn't it. Outdoor seating could use some work to enhance the decor or vibe.
Love, love, love this place! So easy to miss too. Best salad, Pazzo, grilled vegetables, cheeses, olives, peppers..yum! Great fried calamari, legs too. Marinara. Desserts, cannoli, etc. Great owners, and staff. Definitely worth a try! Enjoy

I would definitely recommend a second visit!
