We have been coming to Pine Tavern for years. We had patio seating and the temp. was perfect with a mild breeze. We were a party of 6. The Rueben sandwich was very dry.....not much 1,000 Island dressing. One person in our party ordered ginger ale and when he asked for a refill, he was not informed that the ginger ale was not a free refill and charged them for a second drink. The food was amazing. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked perfectly!
The food had no taste, the service was really good. The wine was good too.
We were in Quebec on vacation and found his place on Open Table. It had good reviews, so I made a reservation. It was just ok. The plastic menu had pictures of drinks and the restaurant which looked rather cheesy. I ordered a Greek salad that was ok nothing special. It took me quite a long time to find something on the menu that sounded appealing and finally settled on the penne pasta with smoked salmon. It was flavorful but had so little salmon it was hard to find in the bowl. My husband had veal scallopine which he said was mediocre. He ordered a vodka on the rocks and the glass was only half filled. There was nothing that would bring me back to this Restaurant.
We enjoyed our dinner here. However, the server was quick to suggest a 50% tip when assisting us with the credit card machine. Just a bit presumptuous!!!
Excellent good with gluten free options. Upbeat music with a DJ. Very good service and half portions available which were perfect to be able to have appetizer and dessert.
