Step back in time at this retro diner with a 60s ambiance and old-fashioned service. The menu offers classic favorites like burgers and fries, made from scratch with russet potatoes. While some complain about soggy fries and slow service, others appreciate the nostalgic charm and quality of the food. The ice cream parlor downstairs is a hit with kids and adults alike. The clean, well-decorated establishment is a popular spot in Quebec City, offering a taste of Americana in a modern French Canadian setting. Overall, a great option for a casual meal with friends or family.

Usually not a fan of american diner takes but this one has enough quebec charm for me to overlook the trend. What Anonym dislikes about Pat Retro:
Love the decoration of the diner but really don't know what happened to the fries I got served today : Please change the frying oil regularly and increase the frying temperature or you will get soggy fries. View all feedback.

Best fries and hamburgers tastes like your teenage years even the music makes you go back to these awesone days where the news was not so grim ...
We were hungry, and knew the area well enough as far a parking etc. So some burgers, Fries and the not-so-local Viande Grile AKA Sloppy Joe's for a quick and delicious lunch for three. The fries are perfection. Home cut, crisp, hot and not greasy. The Burgers were simple and very tasty. No odd pickled this or smoked that required. I have not had 'sloppy Joe' in a roll in over 20 years when Harv's in Grenville Heights closed (And if you know about Harv's then you have eaten everywhere). They were excellent. Those fries - the poutine they would make! !Retro is right - unlike many 60's diners, this feels authentic. Maybe some chili fries on the menu to cap it off?
I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I found it to be perfect for a fast food option. The establishment was clean, the staff was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, the food tasted good, and the prices were great. I definitely plan on returning to eat there again in the future.
