I always passed by this restaurant, which I had never visited before, and was curious about it. After going to see the cherry blossoms in Totsunobe, I finally dropped by. There was a notice inside the restaurant that they close around 2:30 pm. It seems they close quite early. The soy sauce chashu ramen was served with straight, thin noodles and had a light flavor with plenty of chashu. They provided chili oil and garlic powder for seasoning, and adding them really changes the taste. The chili oil was really spicy and intense. The ginger soy sauce ramen had a strong ginger flavor and was delicious. I'm looking forward to trying their salt-based ramen next time.
I feel that Mr. Kondo's restaurant, which is one of the Yatabe family, is quite similar to the taste of the head chef, for better or for worse. I will visit again, it was delicious.
This was my first visit to the restaurant. During lunchtime, the place was bustling with locals. The Shirakawa-style ramen was light and easy to eat. When I asked the staff why the restaurant's name had changed, they told me it was because the owner is a jazz musician. I will definitely come back to eat here again when I am in the area.
