Pizzeria Arcobaleno - QUATTRO CASTELLA

We called by chance and so glad we did. The place was spotless with linen tablecloths and serviettes. It didn’t appear to cater for tourists so we felt we had a genuine Italian meal- fresh, crisp pizzas accompanied by a local Lambrusco. We managed to communicate with the friendly waiter despite the language difference.

This family run pizzeria was just 5 mins from our holiday rental and recommended by our hosts. There is nothing pretentious about it and the locals use it to eat in and for takeaways. Lots of family groups, teenagers and kids use the place and the food is excellent quality and value for money. We would definitely go back there again.

We had very tasty pizzas here it was very busy with local families eating out but service was brisk and friendly. No great frills, but there is a very wide range of pizzas to choose from, including plenty that were 'bianco, ' that is without any tomato sauce. All our choices were really good, with light and crispy bases. We all chose 'medie ' which at between €6 and €7.50 were really good value. I would have been perfectly full with a 'piccolo ' at around €4. A really cracking place and we wouldn 't hesitate to use it again.

This was the best pizza we had on our round trip through Italy!! We came here on our last day for lunch and came straight back again for dinner. Do not miss this excellent food and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Our favorite was the arugula, parmigiano and balsamic vinegar pizza. Enjoy!
