Seebenalp is located on a small lake, snow covered in winter, and offers beautiful views into the mountains. It's a good stop for some rest (from skiing or a walk) and to relax in the sun. The food is nice, the usual stuff you get around here and the service is attentive, almost overly keen to take away the plate once you've put the last bite in your mouth. We stayed at the Berghotel with our little kids. Goods things first, the location is great and our waitress was very kind. Apart from that, not much good to be told. After 10 min our daugther already was unfriendly told not to jump the stairs, although I am sure nobody even noticed. The dinner was probably my worst I had in more than a decade... lousy instant meal quality. In the evening people were drinking and yelling outside until late, and as the windows are old, we heared every word. In the morning when we got up, and sneaked out of the hotel not to be loud, we got yelled at from some other guy not play at the playground and to shut the f* up (it was 7.30 and breakfast is 8-9.00). Credit cards are not accepted.

The location is recommended for those who want to be a bit off the beaten track as you need to either walk back to the chair lift or take a small lift to traverse.

We held our institute workshop in the Seebenalp hotel and were very happy with the very friendly and competent service. Besides, the hotel is surrounded by very nice scenery.
