West Coast Food House - Qualicum Beach

As we were on our way to Coombs to pick up a vehicle, we drove past a building and noticed goats on the roof.

No trip to Parksville is complete without stopping by this place - always a favorite among locals. I see it as a rustic farm-to-table establishment.

I thought this restaurant would not be good, but it exceeded my expectations and was fantastic.

Made an unplanned stop here for dinner and based on the decor we weren't expecting much. Food was great though. The Pacific Cod Sliders and Nachos were particularly good. A great craft beer on the side topped things off and a family of four was fed for under $50.

Sat at the bar and had a prawn appt which was superb. The bartender was very prompt and friendly even though he was obviously very busy. This restaurant is obviously a local favourite judging by the many across the room greetings as folks came and went. I will be back to try other menu items and I will definitely have those prawns again.
