What User doesn't like about La Campagna:
I've seen some poor ratings on yelp and I just don't get it. My wife and I just had a dinner there and everything was outstanding. I had spaghetti with meatballs and sausage and my wife had spaghetti with white clam sauce. We also shared a Caesar salad and fried calamari. Portions were huge (leftovers for another meal), service was friendly, atmosphere was an intimate old fashioned dining room. Hidden gem. Highly rec... View all feedback.
Tonight was there for the first time. Honored by Marie, Ann and Staff. Couldn't have been nicer. We sat and had opened our wine in minutes. Appetizer Aubergine was super veal and cook special grilled trout dish followed. Wonderful! Coffee, dessert and a wonderful experience. Reasonable prices and warm invitation to return at any time. We will! Great job people.
Pleasant atmosphere. Waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.
Excellent food, great people. One of the best Italian places around. It's a BYOB place so bring your best wine to pair with your favorites.
For our main courses, my wife ordered the seafood lasagna, which was filled with perfectly cooked lobster, crab, asparagus, cheese, and pasta. I had the frutti di mare, which included mussels, calamari, shrimp, and scallops served in a white wine sauce with linguini. It was abundant with perfectly cooked seafood and not overwhelmed by pasta—unlike some places where you get mostly pasta and just a bit of seafood. We ended our meal with cannoli and espresso. The filling in the cannoli was very creamy with a hint of lemon, and the espresso they served was strong and rich. The service was excellent, with enough staff to attend to everyone, ensuring that all our needs were met quickly. They brought everything we required before we even had to ask, and our food arrived hot. If you decide to visit (and you definitely should), I recommend making a reservation, as La Campagna was quite busy last night, around 90% full. We will definitely be coming back often!
