I have a dairy intolerance and requested soy mi... read more I rarely write reviews, but I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this restaurant. I have a dairy intolerance and requested soy milk in my tea, for which I was charged an additional $0.25. When I explained that I needed soy milk for dietary reasons, the server rudely mentioned the added cost and inconvenience of carrying soy milk. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. Charging extra for soy milk when someone cannot consume dairy is unfair, as soy milk is not significantly more expensive and has a longer shelf life than regular milk. It is understandable to charge extra for soy in specialty drinks like lattes, but not in simple beverages like tea. This policy is a total joke and I urge the restaurant to reconsider their practices. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone with dairy restrictions.

Java Bay Café is consistently excellent. they have excellent baked goods but, most importantly, they really make a great latte.By far, the best coffee on the island Efficient, friendly staff too.

Its a tiny place located in the Tru Valu grocery store complex on West Road near Heriot Bay. Terrific lattes and a very friendly owner. Scones are to die for an... read more Its a tiny place located in the Tru Valu grocery store complex on West Road near Heriot Bay. Terrific lattes and a very friendly owner. Scones are to die for and I am an aficionado! Don't miss it when you are on Quadra!
