For Main: Miso-Kabeljau is a must! Wagyu beef was also pretty delicious. Sushi roles were nothing too special compared to other places. The dessert must be a Goma Street. The leftovers were also delicious. View all feedback.
What Mike Ziemann doesn't like about Sokyo:
The dining experience was alright. Service was generally good. Food presentation was somewhat mediocre — some sashimis were stuck together, showing some pieces not thoroughly sliced… other dishes were fine. View all feedback.
Honestly, the best lining I had this year !! I recommend the Kingfish Miso Ceviche
We were not supposed to eat here but, since we did not make reservations for my friend's graduation lunch at the buffet in The Star, we ended up dining here. What I love about Sokyo was the unpretentious dishes. They were what they were supposed to be, balanced flavours, well seasoned, authentic Japanese dishes. One of the best miso soups I have ever tasted, so I recommend having it with whatever you order here. Fine dining experience at its finest in terms of the interiors of the restaurant. They have a bar area where people can dine if they do not have a reservation. I recommend booking before hand. The only negative about this place was the service was quite slow.
Best Japanese food we had. There was no court that we did not like. We even had the cocktails at the bar before dinner before our table was ready and they were fantastic.
A favorite frequency spot with a Japanese-inspired buffet and delicious A la carte meals. Usually I go for the eggs Benedict, as the bacon maple is glazed, but decided to go for the Sumo breakfast this time. Nice to fill them for the day. The buffet is continental and always has an array of pastries and tarts to choose from some Deli meats and cheese. It's a bit tricky to get a table without booking, but the decor is beautiful and the staff is pretty big.
