Skippers Seafood 'n Chowder - Puyallup

What a nostalgic experience coming here! Food was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. AYCE is $17.99 and it includes chowder. Will be coming back again soon.

Ah, this brings me back; Skippers used to be THE place to go for fish 'n 'chips in the Northwest. Ate many an All-You-Can-Eat as a youth, but this seems to be one of the last Skippers in existence. Have to say, the decor hasn 't changed much, the chowder is still delicious, and the fish was crispy, if not a little 'pre-formed ' in appearance. The fries were a let down, being crinkle fries from your mom 's refrigerator. The staff was super friendly, parking isn 't an issue, and if you 're up for dessert, Baskin and Robbins is 50 feet across the parking lot. Give them a try!

I use to come to this location before the new owner took over and it was not very consistent and pretty not great. The new owner did an amazing job bringing this place around. My wife and I have stopped in a few times the last year (not a often as I would like. Because life in the way). It was great! My dad loved eating all you can eat fish and chips here. He would go quite often living so close. This was the last place my dad and I got to have lunch together before he died last November. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the Skipper's brand tartar sauce. It's too sweet for my taste. I normally bring my own if I know I'm coming here, but normally it's a spur of the moment decision and I have to use the house tartar sauce. Not a deal killer by any means. Keep up the good work!

You have no idea how happy I am to have found this Skipper’s! That it has AMAZING service and that signature breading on their fish, shrimp, and clams just brings me back to when I would go to Skipper’s as a kid to pick up dinner for my grandparents. I cannot understate how wonderful their staff is, or how whimsical the atmosphere is :
