As a starter, I had the ravioli... read more I went to the Oscar restaurant with colleagues one lunchtime. The dishes were very good and original, with a nice French touch. As a starter, I had the ravioli soup with truffle sauce, a real delight, and as a main course, a Mexican-style ribs, tasty and well prepared. The decoration is modern, very elegant, with excellent lighting which makes the setting pleasant. On the other hand, the service really left something to be desired... The main waitress was not welcoming at all, giving the impression that she was being disturbed with each request, with curt answers. This unfortunately ruined part of the experience. Fortunately, another waiter came in later and raised the bar by providing more pleasant and professional service. I recommend for the quality of the dishes and the setting, but there are efforts to be made on the service side to make the experience perfect. We had pre booked, just in case, but it w... read more This restaurant was down the road from our hotel so we decided to book in for a relaxed evening after a very busy day. We had pre booked, just in case, but it wasn’t necessary for us on this occasion as the time were arrived it was calm (but it got busier). We were served by Martina (who recommended an amazing white wine to go with our food) young Raffaelo (we hope that is spelt correctly). To drink we had a bottle of Bourgogne Aligoté, as per the recommendation, it went perfectly with our grande assiette charcuterie wonderfully sold slices of intense tasting meat served with crusty baton and butter. For main I had the filet de bar rôti and my husband had the croustillant de saumon aux épinards both dishes were brilliant with the fish perfectly cooked, the flavours although odd in concept worked so well together, we couldn’t fault the food at all.
