Best kumera chips we've ever had by far lovely and crunchie and first rate battered hoki too. Fabulous meal. Only downside is that this place is so popular that it meant a long wait on a cold winter's Friday night, and the waiting area has seats but is pretty open to the street so is cold. Next time we will phone our order in ahead if it is a popular time. Food: 5 View all feedback.

Very slow service especially when it was quite and had a million staff in the kitchen Response to your reply: When we were there myself and others counted a total of 2 orders on your tags in the kitchen and the shop it's self was not busy either. As for staff I counted at least 7 of you 6 of witch were in the kitchen and the school girl working the front counter and phone Service: Take out View all feedback.
Happy will cook large orders first before others, instead of cooking the orders as they are placed, so if theres lots of cars (aka busy) and you only want a small order you will wait beyond whats reasonable.

What fantastic takeaways based in Putaruru! 10/10 for the tastiest feed of fish chips extras! I have eaten in a long while. The service was exceptional. Very busy popular shop. We dined in, definitely hit the spot. We ordered fish,chips, hot dogs, and chicken nuggets cooked to perfection I highly recommend that if you want a decent feed of greasies, call on into The Happy Takeaways Putaruru, You won 't be disappointed Food: 5
My family and l currently living in Brisbane Australia ....We stopped here for dinner 14.02.24 on our way back to Auckland. Definitely enjoyed our food trust me.
