El Hicaco Seafood - Puntarenas

Great seafood and we loved the Mariachi band and the older Gentleman singer who sang us. Beautiful location on the beach. We ate here three times! Very romantic!

Beautiful experience with super attentive service and delicious seafood in decent portions. The view is a great compliment for the food, but cocktails could be improved my passion fruit margarita didn't taste like the fruit at all.

A beautiful culinary experience on the beach in Jaco. We ordered appetizers of shrimp cocktail and Calamari. The ducks were a lobster (rock) bisque and a seafood rice dish. All were excellent. The restaurant also uses a robot server that is quite cool.

Nice restaurant with great food. Husband had grilled octopus and I had the Hicaco salad with shrimp and octopus. We had the shrimp cocktail appetizer. The shrimps on the shrimp cocktail are actually grilled, not cooked as we are used in the USA. Cocktail sauce was good, had a sweet finish.

We got there a little early, got seated right away, and the fun began.... The service was great, the setting fantastic as the sun set, and the food turned out to be excellent. Not inexpensive, but reasonable for the quality of the food. We had the grilled octopus, and the Corvina with the mashed potatoes and veggies. We also tried a drink similar to a Capirinha but with passion fruit. Fantastico!!! Definitely make sure to give them a try. You might want to reserve a table, especially if you want to be in the front to see the sunset.
