man and I both had the Captains plate. it was delicious. spoiled, very tasteful. I also had the oysters rockefeller who was so good. my man had fried green tomatoes he also enjoyed. our waiter was ari and he made a great job that explained various entrees and recommended. we sat next to a window on the water that offered us the prospect of the harbour. we would definitely return. What User doesn't like about The Captain's Table:
It was 1.5 hours before buffet was done and they were running out of food. One individual said the oysters were all gone, five minutes after we had arrived at our reservation. $35.00 per person was an extreme waste of money when half the food was gone. The fish was dried out and the clams were overcooked. View all feedback.
We had a wonderful experience. We had reservations, so we were fast and sat outside the incredible sunset view! We had Ari as our waiter and he was fantastic! Bourbon salmon-amazing! Yellowfin tuna- incredible!! Will be back next year on our vacation!
Came for my wife's birthday and had reservations. No table was ready inside so we say outside, the reservation was ignored. We sat for 30min before we called the host back and no one came to even bring us a glass of water. The gentleman who took over as the waiter was fantastic and picked up the pace while apologizing. We had prepaid plans following dinner and by that time we were well behind so certainly appreciate this server.
Great things to say about the Captain's Table. Excellent service, quality of food, and fair pricing based on such. I would come again. We enjoyed several hours here
Wanted to give 4 stars because the food was so good but unfortunately the service was terrible. Visited while there was the nor tech fun run. Many places were slammed and this one was a good choice as they were not busy. With the pandemic causing a staffing shortage, it is very understandable that the service can be slow. They only had one bartender and she was doing her best to keep up. Where the service lacked was the personality of the host. There was no greeting of a friendly smile and almost as if people coming in were a burden to him. Even though there were tables outside, they were reservation only. Unfortunate but we were okay with sitting in. The waitress also took a considerable amount of time to acknowledge our table. On the good note though, the blood orange margarita was delicious. And the drunken hogfish sandwich was awesome! Definitely would still come back if I'm ever in the area.
Excellent food and even better service (thanks Jennifer! . Perfect place for large parties inside or smaller parties outside on great over-water deck. Reservations recommended as the hostess told a few smaller parties without reservations that she could not seat them. Bread and butter are great with simple side salads that are well prepared. Spicy pork chop was excellent and family had the pesto chicken, filet mignon and ribeye which they all raved about. Definitely recommend. Great cocktail menu as well.
