Peace River Beer Company - Punta Gorda

It was an amazing time. I only had one beer, but sampled three until I found the one I liked. But what I need to mention is the food. Wow! The food was amazingly good, the second best Thai food I've had, ever! And the best was in Thailand. Ok everything was more than 5 stars, I will be back!

One word: OddI feel the best word to describe this place would be odd . A pub-style/rustic beer house that serves Thai food? The 20 beer selection wall (Strawberry Cider-yum! was pretty cool. While the walk-up pub style ordering service could have been better paired with a smiling bartender. I felt the menu was small, while the Thai food was an unexpected surprise. They did offer 3 non-thai food dishes but would have preferred an option for a good old American hamburger.

You'd never imagine this based on the name, but the Thai food here is fantastic. All made fresh with a few options for those who don't love Thai food (IE: a chicken sandwich or wings). The Panang Curry is one of my favorites, but you really can't go wrong with anything here (I also like the Basil Chicken). They also have a great selection of local and unique beers with flights for the adventurous who like to try a bit of everything.

Great place to grab some beers and have a delicious snack, or even a meal. The thai food is excellent!

Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing atmosphere. But wow, the gentleman behind the bar was so gruff and rude, which is so strange considering the name is Peace River. He left our group feeling very uncomfortable which definitely hindered the experience.
