Nice brewery bar in UTC. We had great chicken wings; plump and juicy (ordered extra crispy) with thai sauce, really good. Laura was very helpful with recommendations. Enjoyed the wings and beer. Will be back for sure! View all feedback.
What Penny McMillan doesn't like about Fat Point Brewing Co:
We walked in and thought how cute inside. Looked at the menu on the chalkboard and dropped our teeth!Extremely expensive! They didn’t even have regular Coke! We left. I guess they make more from their brews and have to raise prices on food to justify having food. Good luck to them View all feedback.
It's perfectly ok if your brick and mortar needs to drop from 4 days (31 hours) to 3 days (25 hours) due to a staffing issue. However, your lack of transparency combined with a disregard for your customer's free time is another story. On March 13, 2022 you didn't open. Instead of post that information on your Facebook, Instagram, Google Business, or your own website (all of which are channels you update frequently), you decided to hang a handwritten sign on your door. What about the people driving from Lee County, riding their bike from PGI, or walking from Laishley? The regulars who don't come from far but made plans to meet friends at your place today? Before the internet, we'd change our answering machine outgoing message to inform patrons of an unexpected close. Couldn't you even do that? Either you want people to show up in the middle of nowhere and get turned away, or you only care about yourselves.
Great atmosphere, great beers. Was shocked to hear they are moving across the street to an old welding building. Hell, I think another brewery should buy the current building and put these guys out of business.
We hang out at Fat Point with friends. I don't think we've ever had a beer that wasn't very good. I like Big Boca which is a California Common Ale. My wife doesn't like beer but she loves the Imperial Stout. The food is good and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. Don't miss this great bar when you're in Punta Gorda.
We enjoy Fat Point Brewery very much! Staff is always nice. Great mix of clientele, most of whom are super friendly. Lots of folks enjoy sitting outside but we still manage to find a spot. Looking forward to the new location (across the street) next year. The food is just okay but you don't go there for the food.
Great guitar player. ? Friendly place. We were there on the last day of business before they started their move to across the street so no food served. Had a pretty good IPA, only a little hoppy and fairly malty. Will look forward to the grand opening in a few months.
