It was such an experience... The location is an open terrace super close to the castle in central PULSANO small town not far away from Taranto). What Giuseppe Pellegrino doesn't like about La Locanda Al Castello:
very cozy and nice location, the choice of the menu meticulously described by the waiter is varied and delicious .in the complex the pizza of different embellishments is good and the meat is of discreet quality. Good value for money. View all feedback.
Saturday evening, with a group of friends we decided to eat a pizza in this place located on one side of the square that runs alongside the castle, a really pleasant location, pleasantly breezy, despite the sultry evening. We had reservations for 9pm. At 21:25 we order our pizzas and while we wait (a wait of about 35 minutes had been announced to us) we have portions of fries and croquettes brought to us. After about an hour of our pizzas not even the shadow. Basically, after a polite complaint, the first pizza, of 10, is served at 10.55pm. The last was served about a quarter of an hour later. The strange thing was that the place was full, but not crowded and among other things, most of the tables were not eating pizzas. Furthermore, the waiters did not seem to serve the tables at a frantic pace, in fact most of the time they went out without serving courses, but wandering bewildered among the tables. Now I understand that it was Saturday, but an hour and a half waiting for a pizza, having booked, seems excessive to me! It's a shame, because the place is nice and the pizza is really good, I think the flaws are good organization, considering that when I was paying the bill, I learned that they also did take-out. I don't think I will go back and btw not on a Saturday!
On any summer evening, with the family, we decide to dine at the Locanda di Pulsano, we had never been there and we were attracted by the captivating location, in the ZTL area, at the foot of the castle. At the time of the orders, we are told that pizzas cannot be ordered due to an overload of requests. Strange....there were only two tables, not very big by the way, and a few occupied tables. We adapt and order appetizers and main courses of meat and fish, clearly with a strong rise on the expense (was this their purpose? after half an hour nothing had arrived on the table and the children were starting to rattle. Finally the appetizers and first courses for the little ones were served, while for the second courses at 11pm there wasn 't even a shadow, so much so that we had decided to give up. On the menu, many main courses were with side dish and instead were served without. To our observation a pseudo head waiter replied you didn 't ask for them and they haven 't been added . It is clear that we will never go back, albeit with regret, because the place is very beautiful and Pulsano doesn 't offer anything else of the kind. Before closing this long review of mine, I want to waste a little word for restaurant entrepreneurs: don 't save on dining room staff, what you put in your pocket always goes to the customer 's detriment .

Restaurant and pizzeria with excellent value for money. The pizzas are very good (the pizza maker is Neapolitan) also the cut with rocket and parmesan and the beef entrecote are good. The staff is very present and helpful. The place is really impressive next to the medieval castle De Falconibus. At the end of the service, I advise you to have a coffee, you will discover a taste and a body that is difficult to find in bars.
Excellent food, the fresh taste of the sea, hygiene, care, attention to the customer and local cuisine with the flavors of the past in the sweet shade of the keep of the De Falconibus castle in Pulsano (TA). Great prices and pure relaxation. You certainly cannot miss the opportunity to check out my review!
