Description
**The Zzu: A Mixed Bag of Experiences in a Transforming Space**
The Zzu has garnered a reputation for its affordable food and drink specials, particularly its popular Taco Tuesdays. However, recent changes, including a shift to an 18+ dance club atmosphere, have dissuaded some regulars. While evening visits offer a vibrant crowd, brunch experiences vary widely. Diner feedback highlights issues such as inattentive service and inconsistent food quality, alongside praise for the updated brunch menu and creative cocktails. As The Zzu evolves under new ownership, it aims to refine its identity, balancing its role as a lively bar with a burgeoning brunch destination. Ultimately, customers are hopeful for improvements.

I've came here numerous times for drinks at night but stopped by for brunch for the first time the other day. It was honestly beyond my expectations. Pretty quiet atmosphere which is way different than night time and good menu and selection for brunch. For the price you pay, food is good.
They are under new ownership and it's changed a lot since I went to school here. Pretty dang good food! The service is still working out the kinks! Definitely coming back! Mimosas!!!! Pitcher of juice and whole bottle of champagne! Solid. One weird thing: **** Mary's didn't have ice.
I LOVED The Zzu. It was my favorite bar. They have amazing food and beer and drinks, and taco Tuesday is amazing. But once they turned it into an 18+ dance club is when I stopped going. I was going to go to their $7 Malibu Bucket night until I saw it was a dance party. They haven't done progressive well night, and they aren't doing it tonight because it's an 18+ dance party night. It was a great place, I don't know why they're turning it into Mikes:
At 42 the bartender at this college pub didn't make me feel old one bit! We came in on a quiet night (or maybe we were the old early birds) and had amazing buffalo wings for $5 (which included a shot of tequila). Drinks were priced right and when we come back to visit our son at WSU we will be back.
I visited ZZU last Tuesday to celebrate my friend's 21st birthday. They advertise closing at 2 AM, but when we arrived at midnight, the place was completely empty—not a single customer or staff member in sight. The doors were unlocked, and the TVs were still on, which was really odd. We checked the whole bar, but it seemed deserted. If they decided to close early, they should've put up a notice or at least locked the door.
