However, the ordering system is a bit inconvenient since you have to order separately at kiosks from different food stations. Plus, the food doesn't arrive all at once, so either you end up watching your date eat or they have to wait for their meal while you’re still getting served.

The Lumberyard space itself is impressive—a beautiful building with a creative business concept. Customer service is excellent, and there’s potential for a much-needed quality dining experience in Pullman, especially since nearby Moscow has many better food and drink options. Lumberyard gives the impression of being a collection of food trucks or multiple independent restaurants under one roof, but in reality, it’s a single restaurant serving a variety of cuisines. This lack of focus means the food quality suffers. The idea of a trendy food court with many options is appealing, but having too many different styles at once prevents the kitchen from excelling in any one area. I initially expected multiple vendors operating independently within Lumberyard, but that’s not the case. Instead, it’s one entity managing all the food types. While not a bad concept, it results in compromised food quality, as my group’s experience confirmed. It seems the business model prioritizes a cool vibe over culinary excellence. In summary, Lumberyard is a great spot to hang out with family, but for better food, it’s worth sticking to the options in Moscow.

Honestly, Scoops... read more First of all, when people say the burgers at Scoops are small, they couldn’t be more wrong. The burgers are actually quite large and delicious. Honestly, Scoops offers the best burger in town. On top of that, my family and I had an outstanding experience at the bar. Our bartender, Dillon, memorized our order of seven drinks—five of them cocktails—and served each one flawlessly. We will definitely be returning for both the food and the menu of drinks.

However, every time we visit, we notice improvements both big and small, showing they truly value and welcome feedback. Occasionally, some dishes run out or arrive different from what we ordered, but I can confidently say that all the meat we've had here is outstanding. The steaks are perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor—hands down the best I've ever had at a restaurant! We keep coming back and are excited to see how they continue to evolve.
