The Nook Caffé Restaurant - Pullenvale
The Nook Caffé Restaurant
Description
The Nook, a once beloved cafe, has unfortunately fallen from grace according to disappointed diners. Issues with customer service, wait times, and food quality have left patrons mourning the loss of what was once a favorite spot. Despite some loyal customers raving about the friendly staff, great food, and relaxed atmosphere, the overall consensus seems to be that The Nook is struggling to live up to its former glory. With mixed reviews and varying experiences, it seems the appeal of this Western suburb cafe is up for debate.

Outwardly nice place, empty when nine of us arrived. Nine coffee orders mucked up, then came the meals,of the meals one was correct seven were finally semi sorted after a 45 min wait with one ready to arrive as everybody was about to leave. I would struggle to recommend this establishment to my worst enemy.
I live locally and have breaky at the Nook at least weekly up to three time a week. The parking is ample, location easy to get to and Pam and her team are always friendly and serve us casually so as to not interrupt our business 'talk'. The Eggs Florentine are fantastically great. Sure they get busy and meal times are delayed a little but every else is the same and dining there is value for money.
I visited with a friend for lunch. A few years ago I visited for dinner and really enjoyed the food. Today I ordered the sweet potato and prawn salad. When it was delivered all that was on the plate was lettuce, corn and five small green prawns. I asked the wait staff where the sweet potato and other salad items were that had been mentioned on the menu. After they came back from the kitchen they said they had forgot and brought out the missing items on a separate plate. I don't understand how you could forget half the salad items, but the fact that the price was also $25 was just ridiculous. Will not be going back.
Restaurant je! worst! the service was appalling, we sat 40 minutes after our arrival, although we had a reservation. our beverage order arrived at an hour later cold and eating arrived 2 hours after our order and was undercooked, we couldn't eat it. it is very disappointing that one would not recommend this place at all.
Mother's breakfast: badly organized, outposted, no communication over waiting times. try to take chairs of tables where obviously people were still sitting for the people they were still trying to reorganize. 30 minutes wait to order, 80 minutes wait for food that never came. no excuse or given. another table had waited for over 2 hours without the communication from the personal. absolutely amateur and shows they are not prepared for more than a few people who want a coffee.
