Our family had take away curry on Tuesday. Everyone really enjoyed the meal, even kids. Curry was amazing. I really enjoyed the desert as well. I will never attempt to cook curry at home after trying it in the Curry story - I can not match it!We will have meal in this restaurant every week. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Curry Story:
Good suburban Indian restaurant more specialising in take-aways although there are some tables inside and out for eat in dinners.Don't get caught out as we did. The Tuesday special of "two for the price of one" which applied previously only to dining in, now oply applies to take-away. View all feedback.

Having lived in Chapel Hill in the 1980s, we were eager to savour the food from this suburban Indian restaurant, given the previous rave reviews. So, in the evening of Friday 3rd March 2017, we bought three take-away curries from Curry Story. A discount was given when three or more take-away curries were ordered.Nilgiri Lamb – acceptable curry, not spicy despite it having a 2-chillies rating. In fact, it was mild to our seasoned palettes. The gravy tasted sweetish and more like butter chicken.Goan Barramundi – rated 2-chillies, but the gravy was mild and sweetish. The pieces of fish were not marinated in the sauce and tasted somewhat bland.Rajasthani Chicken – this was the saving grace of the meal. It was spicy and flavoursome and deserving of the 2-chillies rating. Each curry came with a serving of white rice. Sadly, the rice was mushy, soggy and sticky – not fluffy and grainy as properly cooked rice should be. Being of Indian and Asian ethnicity ourselves, we are connoisseurs of Indian food. Needless to say, this was somewhat of a let-down overall and the flavours unauthentic. Two of these curries, namely the Goan Barramundi and Nilgiri Lamb were tempered to Western taste-buds. The spiciness ratings are rather misleading.

Excellent and authentic Indian food. The chef will cook from menus (e.g. Gobi 65) if you ask. Both meat and vegetarian dishes are excellent.

This restaurant in Chapel Hill offers a great variety of flavorful curries. I enjoyed them so much that I came back for a second visit.
