Max's - Pulilan
Max's
Description
A long-standing Filipino eatery delivers warm, attentive service and reliably satisfying classics — crispy fried chicken, lumpiang shanghai, kare-kare and mango shakes — making it popular for family meals and brunch. Ample free parking and a welcoming staff balance mixed culinary impressions: some dishes shine while others (notably an overly salty pancit) underwhelm. The premises show age and need better cleanliness and pest control; value varies with full-priced items versus promotional deals.

The food was excellent, particularly the Kare Kare, lumpia, java rice, pancit, and fried chicken. They also offer desserts, and I highly recommend trying their mango shake. I will definitely be returning! The restaurant is family-friendly and has ample parking space. The establishment is quite old, and while I hope you can maintain its classic charm, it's clear that cleanliness needs more attention. I noticed pest droppings on the window grills, which is unacceptable for a food establishment. Max's has built a strong reputation as a local brand serving Filipino cuisine, and it's important to uphold that so that your prices remain justified. It's surprising that your international branches seem to serve better food than the original location. Overall, I would rate the following: Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱2,000+

Chop Suey served on a cold dinner plate: the meal was stone cold, and of extremely poor quality. I am a former owner of 4 restaurants in Australia and ws very disapointed with your offering. Extremely poor value ! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱400–600 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
