We decided to stop at this restaurant on our way down from Haleakala because there were very few other options available. The menu was not labeled with vegan options, so we asked the owner if the tamales plate was vegan, or if a vegan burrito could be made without dairy. We decided to try both. The tamales plate was really delicious and highly recommended. However, the burrito, although large, was lacking and not recommended. If you find yourself in our situation, go with the tamales. That's the way to go at this restaurant. Otherwise, I would probably suggest skipping this place.

Quiet place in a strip mall. The menu doesn’t specify vegan but if you ask, say “vegan no dairy” and they will point out the items. Can’t go wrong with the tamales or burritos!

I phoned in advance to inquire about vegan choices. They assured me that they had vegan tamales and burritos. Upon arrival, the staff member we spoke with was very dismissive of veganism. The most disappointing part was when we attempted to order the burritos and asked once more if they were vegan, only to be informed that the wraps contained lard. It is understandable for restaurants to not offer vegan options, but I felt deceived and criticized for my lifestyle choices.

I ordered the vegan tamales and they were amazing! The dish came with two large tamales, rice, beans, and a salad with guacamole for only $14. The staff were very friendly. I recommend calling ahead to ensure they have vegan options available.

We stopped here on the way to Haleakala because there were otherwise very limited options. Nothing is marked on the menu so that we asked the owner: the Tamale plate is vegan or you can do a vegan burrito without milk products. We tried both. The Tamales record was really good. recommend Def. The Burrito, while massive, was quite missing I did not recommend it. So if you're in our shoes, go with the fools. This is the way to go to this place. But otherwise I would probably skip this place.
