The place is so beautiful and simply perfect when they want to relax. I had the vegan chocolate bananen muffin with mandel latte and that was recommended for dying!

They go here for the coffee and chocolate, not the food. they will prepare drinks with cocos milk on request. when they visit costa rica, they really need to try local chocolate while they are there, and this is the place to get it. even if they are looking to relax near the beach, but from the sun, this is the place for them.

Seriously the coolest and most interesting kakaotour! that is worth money! they lead daniel was so authentic and informatiw the indigenous kakao grows, harvests and production. they can only get this kakao in costa rica they do not export. we saw many wild nuts, red frogs and sneaks on the walk to their plantation. decorate chocolate from pure fruit meat to the finished product. only two finished bars have milk. coffee drinks are delish and they also have vegan muffins and other foods. this is the best way to really local support!

Caribeans is one of the many social centers of puerto viejo. it has somehow felt a co-working room. if you like chocolate and sweets, try it. it also has a few vegan / vegetarian menu points.
