We came here twice but only for drinks at the front bar both times. The drinks are big and nice and strong. There are usually mariachi available and we have taken advantage of this both times--I will say both were for birthday trips so we had good reason to celebrate! The service is excellent--they are very nice, attentive, and friendly. View all feedback.

We used to go here all the time in years past and thought we would try it again. The margaritas were good and not sweet and the food was average. Kind of a nice sanctuary off the main street but still noisy with buses and cars. It is located close to the flea market. The service was excellent. View all feedback.
We made a habit of coming from the south zone to visit this place multiple times. The margaritas are the best, food is phenomenal, Atmosphere, service, price. What's not to love about this place. Missing it!!!
Been coming here for about 20+ years now. Had to skip this year because of covid 19 but looking forward to next year. My favorite waiter Jose is always right there for the 2x1 margaritas and it's a great cool pot to relax and people watch. Hasta la proxima!
This place is now known as Puente Cuale Restaurant Bar (at least that's what it says on their sign). We stopped by for fresh ceviche and a beer. We've been coming here for over 20 years and it never disappoints us. We ordered tortilla soup, fish ceviche shrimp tacos and washed them down with cold beers. All delicious! We highly recommend you stop by. Jose and his staff were very nice and friendly.
La Fuente Del Puente is situated just across the road from the Central Market and Flea market on the Rio Cuale River walkway below. It used to be a favorite hangout for film stars Richard Burton and his girlfriend Elizabeth Taylor, while he was making the film "Night of the Iguana”, and in memory of this the restaurant has a Stone statue in is entranceway of the couple. Unfortunately for us, the restaurant was closed so we were unable to could check out the bar, food or nice river view seating under the palapas. TIP: Good place to take a break in the afternoon from shopping in the Cuale Island Flea market below. If you found this review informative, please check the box below. Thank you. The nice part of staying in El Centro district is the number of restaurants within short walking distance; albeit down many flights of stairs. Today I ate a quick lunch at La Fuente del Puente of the Rio Cuale. Food was good; I will be back. Jose was a great server.
